Polly started her life as a lawyer by training and qualifying at a City firm with offices in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Hong Kong. Polly was based in their offices in Guildford, Surrey having completed her legal education at the University of Law in Guildford. Polly grew up in West Sussex and early in her career joined specialist family law practice, Family Law Partners, based in their Horsham team. Polly advises clients on all aspects of family law including financial and children matters, as well as nuptial agreements and cases involving relocation. Polly qualified as a mediator in 2022 and is currently working towards her accreditation having built up a busy mediation practice since completing her training.
In addition to her private practice, Polly is an active member of Resolution, the nationwide organisation of over 6,500 family law professionals committed to constructive resolution of family law
issues. Polly sits on the National YRes committee of Resolution (for family lawyers with under 10 years of post-qualification experience) and has recently completed her tenure as
Co-Chair. Polly also sits on the West Sussex YRes committee and is an active member of her region.
Polly’s extensive experience includes high value, complex financial matters, particularly in cases involving owner-managed/run businesses and family businesses. She has also worked on cases with an
agricultural focus, advising on issues surrounding family farms, intergenerational wealth and assets passed down through families for many years. Polly has dealt with a number of cases in which
non-disclosure was an issue, including representing clients in committal proceedings and in the High Court.
She has acted on a number of longstanding children matters, including cases with public law crossover and the involvement of a special guardianship order and criminal allegations. In addition, Polly
has worked on a number of internal relocation cases and applications for transfer of residence.
Polly also advises on nuptial agreements, including drafting pre and post-nuptial agreements and, more specifically, cohabitation agreements.
In her mediation practice Polly works with couples and families across all issues arising out of separation, to include finances, children and arrangements for unmarried couples who are
separating. Polly is able to offer mediation in person or online and she is committed to assisting those involved in difficult circumstances to work through their options and reach outcomes in
a constructive and solution-focused manner for the benefit of the whole family.
