Debbie Bulmer
Since opting to specialise in family law in 2000, Debbie has become one of the most recognised and recommended family lawyers in Portsmouth. Having led family law teams at a number of firms across the south coast, she has built an enviable reputation in a number of areas including financial disputes involving pensions (especially those of the Armed Forces).
Debbie is a trained collaborative lawyer and mediator (Resolution trained). She believes in a constructive and practical approach and regularly works with clients, their former partners, other lawyers and professionals such as financial planners to find a solution that works all round without the need to attend court.
Sometimes despite every attempt to avoid court, litigation is necessary. Debbie has over 20 years of experience in contentious court matters involving mid to high net worth cases and cases with multiple and complex pensions as well as cases involving businesses and / or intervenors. She has a firm but fair approach which is appreciated by her clients and means that her cases predominantly come to her as recommended from previous clients.
Debbie also has a wealth of knowledge of private children law and provides child focused support in a wide range of cases including disagreements as to where a child should live, relocation within the UK or worldwide or issues of parental responsibility such as where a child should go to school.
Outside of work Debbie enjoys walking her spoilt labradoodle, spending time with her children and family and enjoying good food and wine.
